Cycling Questions, Sharks, And Stocking That Is Usually Overstocking

I've followed these forums for just over a month and I have learned TONS. I just want to thank the "usual suspects" that provide guidance on cycling a tank, reminding people that all the cute tiny sharks become really big sharks that need really big tanks and that you can't stuff a tank full of one of all your favorite fish. Oh and I should mention all the water stat questions. I know there are other topics too. Your perseverence, patience, and kindness, not to mention your expertise, is no less than amazing. While you might not know it all the time, many of us have learned tons and very very much appreciate it. OUR FISH ARE HAPPIER AND MORE WELL ADJUSTED FOR IT.

P.S. To reduce the number of times you answer the same questions, I'm wondering if the crucial articles can be listed at the top of this newbie section. You know after the big red X there would be single topics, Fishless Cycle, Importance of Water Stats and how to test, Sharks for New Tank Owners, Feeding and Overfeeding, Stocking examples and Rules etc. I thought some of these were around once. I know it is all here but not easy for a new person to find.

Welcome to the forums Karin! Thank you for the kind words there are a lot of members here that really know there stuff I try to jump in were I can to help when I can but I'm still learning myself. Everthing I have learned about this hobby I have learned from this forum. I agree with you about the useful articles there was one in this section call beginners resource that was in this section but seemed to disappear today. I found this set of articles to be one of the most important ones we have and I usually guide people to it everyday. I have already made a topic asking the mods were it went to. I also told them I could modify my sig to put a link to it there like a few other members have done. I just think it would be more usful to be at the top of the forum for people when they need it because the people who have it in there sigs cant be everywere at the same time.

Found it unpinned and pinned it again WD. Thanks for pointing out it was missing. In the MOD mode, we have some controls that are just too easy to hit by accident and cause changes. I hope nobody removed that pin on purpose, it is one of the handiest ones we have.
