hi there i have never done a non-fish or fish cycle i just went out got a tank put water in left r 1hr then put fish in and it was all good!! and never lost fish

now i have a trigon 190 with ex700 filter still never done a cycle and yes everything was up and down, then i came on ere and its says you need to do a cycle ( o no ) but ive got fish in my tank what should i do?

3x convict cichlid, 1x red tail albino shark, 2x kribensis, 2x Irian Jaya Rainbowfish, 1x Kissing Gourami
Pink Kisser, 2x Three-spot gourami, 2x angle fish, 3x zebra danio, 3x Dwarf Gourami, 1x silver dallor, 2x clown loachs, 4x male guppys, 1x male 1x pleco..

i feed my fish about 2time a day is that ok ?

What you do if you already have fish in the tank is take care of the fish's health while the cycle takes care of itself. We call that a fish-in cycle but really what we are doing is minimizing feeding and changing water as needed to control ammonia and nitrites to less than 0.25 ppm at all times. It is also important to not increase the fish load in the tank until the cycle has completed. If that Trigon is 190 liters, I don't have any experience with that product line, it is already pretty close to fully stocked. Some of your fish get very large as adults.

There is advice on doing a standard fish-in cycle in one of the links in my signature area.

i no thy get big lol ive got 5 tht are big rest are smallish, so all i afto do is make sure thy all stay down at all times? but when will i no it needs a water change? and how many time a day, or week do i change the water for a cycle and when im not doin a cycle to keep nitrite ect.... down

I want to help but to be honest I can´t be bothered to translate that.

You will need to buy a liquid test kit, that contain testers for ammonia/nitrite/nitrate and ph.API liquid test kit is readily available, ebay being cheaper than lfs.waterchanges are dependant on what the test results are.ammonia/nitrite are the 2 main ones to test for,and you must keep the readings for these below 0.25 by doing large waterchanges if needs be.maybe 2 or 3 a day if results are high.
Has oldman says,he has fish in cycle link in his signature, you're best reading up on this and how the 'nitrogen cycle' works.
Has you have a near full stock in your tank, you will need to keep an eye on the water readings, prolonged ammonia/nitrite in your tank will eventually poison your fish unless you keep on top of the waterchanges, until your filter has cycled, this can take upto 4-6 weeks.
Good luck :good:

thanks dude its in the 4weeks now
