After sucessfully installing my additional Eheim 2213 extrenal filter (alongside my Bioflow 3). I was wondering do the currecnts created by the output tubes/spray bar bother the fish, they seem to be trying to swim against the current and 'fly' back in the opposite direction. It doesn't seem to bother them, but can't work out whether they are enjoying it, or they just want to get to the other end.
Cheers

it will depend on the fish. Some enjoy strong currents that reflect the fast moving stremas/rivers they naturally inhabit. Some will not as they have evolved to live in still pools/lakes and stuggle with fast moving water.

As you can see from my sig...I currently have 5x black ruby barbs, 3x swordtails and 5x guppies...will it bother these fish?
Should I steer cear of certain fish on my future purchases?

I would think all of those fish (especially the barbs) will enjoy a current. As long as they have a few places where they can escape it then they are in control. WD

Great, thanks guys. Yeah they can get out of it as it's only the surface...towards the bottom it seems there is no current.

They are surfing. if they wanted to get away there are plenty of slow spots in your tank.

You have surferdude fish.
