Hi,

There are many persons with crystal glass aquariums?
This glass is 1.5x more expensive comparing to regular (float) glass.
I am not sure if it is money well expended....

Is crystal not alot more brittel? Although i suppose if it was thick enough it wouldnt really matter(would it?). If given the choice id still probably choose glass. IMO i cant really see any benifits from it being crystal apart from it being clearer it might not make any diffrence once its filled with water.

Would be good for bragging rights though!

Are you talking about actual crystal, or starfire glass. Starfire is said to be "crystal clear", because they use less iron in making it. If that's it people usually get it on larger tanks, because regular glass has a green tint to it that starfire doesn't, making the inside of the tank clearer to the eye.

Yes, I am talking about starfire glass.
I have seen some wonderful tanks with starfire glass. But usually on "ADA style" , well planted tanks.

what about acryllic? or however ya spell it? glass is only about 70% clear whereas acryllic is about 95% clear
