Also you mention that some of our tanks look glass clear. This is because we take a photo straight away after a water change & tank clean. It doesnt mean it looks like that all the time.

I don't. My tanks that have Purigen running them are clear 99% of the time. After a water change would probably be the worst time for me to take a picture. lol.

And just buy the filter wool that is on the roll from ebay. Saves you a fortune and you could change it every day for a year and still not run out if you buy the 5m roll.

I dont run with Purigen although I have read up on it. Is it realy worth it?

i know i just did same search so many haha another question sorry would sticking this wool half way through the filter effect it massively? as i said the bio balls annoy me so much trying to stick them back in they float lol would sticking say 2 thin layers of this on over the balls and the other at the top? gd plan or not?

LOL! Why don't you just empty the filter of water so they don't float?

It would affect the flow, but nothing too majorly.

It's good stuff. Tizer don't think so, but mines really good. I went with the thicker stuff and he went with the thinner stuff, so maybe this has an effect on it? For £9 you really can change it every week for a year and not run out. I leave mine in for about 2 weeks and renew. BUT you could also just rinse it in tank water and put it back in.
