My wife was knitting a baby jersey and needed 8 buttons to finish it off, so she went to the store to get them (at 15cents each)....

When she got home, she discovered that there were 11 buttons in the little plastic packet they gave her. She put the 3 extra buttons in her purse and went back to the store to the shelf where the buttons are kept, looked up & down the passage to ensure no-one is watching her, and promptly put them back onto the shelf.

Now I just wonder if they would've believed her if she was caught in the act of "smuggling" buttons back into the store?

Lol seems like a strange way to do it. Why did she not want to simply hand them in to a store worker?

yeah lol if they screw up its their loss happened to me when buying some live plants... but yeah thatis a bit wierd she sneaked the buttos back in lol

Oh this has happened with me before! I went to buy my second lot of guppies ever owned by just me. These guppies were the ones that gave birth to all the babies i have now. Anywayz on with the tale! Well i went and i was buying 3 because they had a deal on guppies. 1 male and 2 females for £3. So they put them in and i ended up leaving the store (only charged £3 for this) with 4 guppies! 1 male and 3 females. Just to say, i didn't take the extra one back because i liked her!

I went to buy a bunch of hiking gear for when I go climbing in the dolomites and got a pair of boots worth £79.99 for free. He didn't put it through the till but he put it in the bag. I feel very bad about it, though for £0 they're a great pair of boots.
