I know i already posted this in the invertebrates section but didnt get any replies
Can crayfish live in this tank?http://www.petplanet.co.uk/product.asp?dept_id=385&pf_id=56564&source=webgains&siteid=73669
I already have
2 zebra loach4 mollies1 male betta2 female betta
The bettas get along fine and the male doesnt even flare up, the females are also fine even though theres just two
Same goes for the loach, although i want to et rid of these at some point because i was just given them without much choice

it could probably work for a good while, not sure if it's big enough in the long run.

But keep in mind, adding a crayfish will annihilate all the fish in the tank. Especially the bottom feeders and slow moving ones like bettas. I'd rehome them before doing anything.

At the LFS just the other day I actually saw a small blue one take down a pretty large african cichlid.

Things with pincers just don't go well with fish.

Ive read about people clipping off the pincers but not sure if this is ok to do?

I wouldn't do it. That'd be stressful for the crayfish, you, and just about everything involved. Crayfish make great pets, but they should be kept alone.

Thats what i thought to be honest
Thanks for the info, might have to look at getting another tak

you might be able to look into vampire shrimp, they're said to be totally hamrless filter feeders, despite the crazy looking claw like appendages, I don't know anything about caring for them, though.

Just had a look at these, they look pretty good but ill have to do a bit more research
Thanks
