Crap!

Unlucky fella.
We had something like that happen with our large tank, bought a new juwel filter put it in, the tanks starts going misty, thought it was just because we cleaned it out ect ect so i wake up next morning, come down and its like a grave yard in there, 70% of fish were just dead... The rest were all at the top nearly dead, so i grabbed as many as i could and put them in my 30gal. Turns out there was something bad with the filter, as we did a 75% water change put them back in and i wake up next morning to see all the survivors nearly dead again, needless to say i wasnt happy, so we rinses out the new filter (By filter i mean media) and then they were all fine.
We lost a lot of fish, i can't remember all the names but it included.
- 8 or so racing tetras - they were cool best schooling fish i've ever seen and they were like fully grown which was a shame
- Golden chinese sucker (He was huge, only had him for a couple of months and he was massive, would of loved to see how big he got)
- A small colony of halfbeaks :(
- Also my favourite fish, a little golden ray, he was a lot more circular than the common ones i get in my LFS and we had him for about 6 months, when we bought him they were keeping him in a goldfish tank in coldwater
- A load more but i just can't remember there names =/

Amazingly the corydoors weren't affected neither was the plecos we had - one is nearly 8" would of been sad to loose him.
But the upside down catfish was.
We saved the loaches, siamese, bearded ram, all plecos and some other stuff =/
