Cracked Tank Bottom

Hey all picked up a tank today for £4 not massive but just a small tank for my desk, however theres a small crakc in the bottom, all the other joints/seals seem fine and i may redo a few of them anyway to tidy it up, also it came with a complete jewel 3d background inside it !

im just curious whether i can fix the crack with silcone on the inside ???

it would work as long as you make sure it properly seals and fills/covers the crack. hope this helps. =)

You can patch bottom glass with a new piece of glass sealed to the inside of the old piece with aquarium sealant. We did lots of that kind of thing with the old tanks back when I was a kid. I can't say I have bothered doing it lately since new small tanks are so darned cheap.
