Hi guys, I just thought I'd post about this. I don't know if anyone has had the same experience. Both my tanks had pest snails in them and I see them all the time in my 75 gallon, but after adding 7 cories (brochis splendens) to my 29 gallon I haven't seen many, maybe one. When I woke up my mom said she saw a cory picking at a little snail that was on the glass, you can see a little smudge where she was pointing. So I'm guessing their eating them? :D Fine with me! But I've never heard of it.

Well on a closer look, that smudge is where cory eggs were! Their are 2 left. The colder water change this morning must have caused them to spawn? Scratch that, the last 2 eggs just got eaten. I feel a little dumb now lol, I still think their eating snails

My corys eat rams horn snails if I crush them for them and they love them. But they have never shown an interest in intact snails. My Pakastani loaches and Dwarf Chain loaches how ever are now really getting into the swing of sucking the snails clean out of their shells. Now if only I could convince my Khuli loaches to eat snails I would be happy.

I haven't had corys yet, but I have had a tank of fish that weren't supposed to be snail eaters, all of which learned to eat snails. I was not thrilled because I liked having them! They also sucked them straight out of the shells. Yikes!
