These are both bottom feeders. I have a 10 gallon tank and I am thinking of maybe putting a few corys in with 2 red cherry shrimp. Will they get along?

I know Crabs require being able to get outta the water, are red cherry shrimp the same?

I've got bronze, albino and peppered corys sharing with amano shrimp and they are all fine. I believe that cherrys are the same, so they should be just fine :good:

I keep cories and cherries together and they're fine.

Although I've heard cories and shrimp fry don't mix so well.

All the better. I don't like having to deal with baby fish/shrimp.

I'd get more than 2 shrimps though, they tend to be more confident in larger numbers and their bioload is relatively low.

really! I didn't think that shrimps were so socially conscious! Even so, I think there's no need for more than 2 in my PFK nano (when it turns up,) as they'll do a good job at cleaning, and still leave room for a few corys. etc

What type of corys are you talking about? That tank is too small for regular corys IMO :/ . Maybe dwarf/pygmy corys though.
You could have more than two red cherry shrimp though, they are so small i would go with 5-6 in that tank, while if you get amano shrimp i would go for 4-5 :good: .

I'll ptobly get maybe 3 or 4 cherry shrimp? What do you think the ratio should be 2 males for 3 or 4 females? I saw some really small ones (maybe a half inch long at my lfs so I was thinking maybe 2 or 3 of those.
