Btw,I have sands (pool sand) for over a foot from the ends of the 8' long tank. The middle is white gravel and sands over that 5' or so. The Corys stay on the sands..they like to rest under a low driftwood branch, the shade I guess is appealing to them. I'd like to get long snouted Corys..haven't seen them for decades...but when they dig?..its really like anteater time, breaking into a nest. Pure fun for them and for me to see.

Honestly my point from the beginning was gravels good and your just going on this crusade now and its lost it's fun. So I'll keep this very simple so maybe you'll finally get what I'm saying. SAND GOOD GRAVEL OK

Wrong, as every ichthyologist, biologist and cory expert will tell you. Gravel is not good for cories.
