Coral Sand...

Anyone here who uses coral sand what is the best way of cleaning it?
I've heard that the only way is the move the sand around and net up all crap that comes up.
anyone got ideas?

A gravel vac will work well if it's in the tank already. Place your finger over the syphon pipe, and regulate the flow such that the dirt is picked up, but not the sand Takes a bit of practice, but is easy enough when you get the hang of it
