I have 2 pink convicts, What age do they need to be to breed?
How big do they need to be to breed?
How do you sex them?

Thanks

They usually are able to breed once they get the the 1 inch to 1 and a half inches. The males are normally larger, their fins are more pointy, and they wont have much more color to them. The females will usually be a bit smaller, generally have rounded fins, and their stomach is normally a red or an orange. If you want you can post a picture of each one and myself or someone else can sex them for you. For someone who doesn't know how to sex them, the pink version will be harder to sex than the black version.

Thanks! I will try and post a pic, The one who I think is a female is 2 inches, has a big belly and has a orange belly and fin, The other one who is smaller with a little bit of orange and has no big belly, I think might be a female so I will be on the lookout for 2 males.

Yep, should I get an adult or a juvenile as adults are hard to come by round here?

I'm surprised too. I could probably lift a rock up outside and find one there =)

You would want adults. The juveniles will be bullied.

Alright but right now my pink convicts dont look no where like the ones I see in videos, They and about an inch and a half tall, 1 inch wide, 2 inch long, Shes layed eggs but there isnt a male

Alright thanks, heres a video just to be sure, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2wveSeScZRs
