The latest issue of PFK has Moody's wonderful nano as the indroductory full-page photo for my first part in a series on aquascaping.

Recognition well-deserved and a nice end to 2006 for you, Graeme. I'm sure we all look forward to seeing what you can create in 2007.

very good! do you get an advance copy then or is the proper copies out on subscription now.... we were wondering where ours got too :/

My copy will hopefully be waiting for me at home, but thats excellent, well deserved :) am sure 2007 will see things get even better in the UK.

Sam

you can really start to see the whole planted side of things taking off now, we have one lfs which has a display planted tank (intending to get a pic to show you lot) and another that stocks Co2 bottles, tropica plants and the bloke who runs it really knows his stuff with plants.

interesting to see how the hobby's changing at the moment

Dragons Den are looking for people with aquarium business ideas. A pre-packaged planted tank setup (CO2, lighting, substrate etc) would make an excellent product, unsure if anything like this really exists yet. Someone please credit me for this idea in royalty payments if they nick my idea though! :)

I notice in the small print it says to look out for details of the PFK aquascaping competition in the february edition :D

Good to see another tank from this forum, lets hope a few more can make it into the magazine!

I mentioned this idea to a well known business about 12 months ago, I also brought it up in the "Future of Fishkeeping" piece in the last PFK issue. The UK hobby is not quite ready for it yet. It is becoming more popular agreed but it's still way behind the likes of reef, that have the said systemised set ups. Who know's what the future holds though?

Back to topic, the forthcoming PFK aquascaping contest will hopefully see some TFF member's producing good enough results for publishing, like Moody. PFK mentioned reader visits too for the winners so that would be cool. Some may remember jimbooo's visit earlier this year.

Thanks guys :good:

I am really chuffed to see a full page shot of my design, very happy indeed. I hope i will still be able to compete in the aquascape contest PFK will be running!

I'm glad that all my effort has come to this page. I worked really hard on this one, in layout and maintenance, dedicated to say the least.

It is obvious that the UK aquascape scene is moving forward but we are still falling behind the likes of the far east and the states. Its getting local fish shops around to plants, half ( more in fact ) don't have a clue nor the inclination to find out.

Thanks to aqua-essentials the far east isn't so far any more.

Regards,
Graeme.

Oh, this is fantastic news! Congratulations George on another article and Moody for a lovely picture. Wish I could get PFK. :(

llj :)

Got mine today :)

Also loved the article on Arrow Head Puffer babies, first ever captive spawn. Ive been following that on the Puffer F0rums, quite an achievement.
