Put simply, I'd like a moderator or website administrator to explain to me where my fishless cycle log thread is. It has disppeared from the 'Your New Freshwater Tank' forum. It was titled 'Mark's Fishless Cycle Log' with a subtitle named '120 litre tank' and contained a log of all my water stats (thankfully I have a hard copy of this which is still viewable).

If no one can explain where it has gone I see no reason why I should put the effort into making any other threads since the information provided/given within it may just get deleted...

Look forward to hearing from someone from the top.

Mark.

When did you last post in it?

Was there anything in the post that may get it deleted? such as swearing etc?

Its definately gone. When you google it, it is the first hit, but you get an error message when you try and click on it.

Hi,

Well someone replied to the thread with a swear word in but it wasn't offensive due to the context.

A part from that it was a thread loaded with useful information and I was intending to have it available to discuss any issues I or others have with the fish I intend to stock in my tank (blue rams).

There were no oversized images, swear words or anything else I would deem inappropriate in the thread created by me or any of the people replying.

I last posted in it about 24 hours ago.

Somebody who is control of the forum should be able to see who or what deleted it.

No ways mark... Your post must still be floating around somewhere... I've been searching around the areas where we would move "bad" posts to, and it is not there.... I cannot imagine that it would've been deleted by any of the mods (if there was no provocation or swearing going on) - but I'll ask around.

Hi,

There was absolutely no arguments or provokation in the thread. I thoroughly read every reply and there wasn't anything that needed to be altered.

Thank you for your time.

Edit: sometimes when visiting the forums I have seen mySQL errors in the header. Just thought I'd point that out since that may have something to do with the loss of the thread. I personally believe someone has deleted it to be honest but I just don't know why.

I've also looked and can't find it, i bet its there somewhere, but i've had a drink so I blame that ;)

I find a copy of a part of the thread, page 3 in the Google archives. I am not finding any evidence of it in our trash pile of things we have deleted on purpose.

Maybe an Admin can find where it has been moved to? I kinda do need it back; let's face it, who here would create a thread if they knew on a certain date someone/something would come along and chomp it up?

If there is a problem with IPB script that causes deletion, why hasn't it erased other content?

i also have problam that i dont get replys to my topics..

can i Complaint somwhere?

I don't think so MrPandaram. Some of my topics go unnoticed but you just have to respect the fact that no one is obliged to reply or help.

If you've lost an entire topic like I have, that's when you should complain!

We don't have any sort of auto delete set up. This situation is being looked into.
