Hello,

I was wondering if it is possible to keep different species of severums together, for example an orange and a gold severum together in the same tank.

Thanks.

Its fine, of course if they pair up you would get a mix of colours or the dominant colour strain. So long as you have a large enough tank 100g minimum is the best for two or 125g upwards for 3 or more :good:

Thank you for replying, I thought that they would be compatible but I've had an orange Sev (Tango) for a month or two, and was so pleased with him that I purchased a golden Sev (Pancake) last weekend who is slightly smaller. But now the Tango just chases Pancake around the tank, especially at feeding time.

Do I just need to give them more time to settle in?

Its normally the way it works, the first will see the tank as its territory and doesnt like the addition of another, if they dont settle down, you could try a tank rearrange to see if it helps, make sure they have enough areas to hide and call their own, use plants etc to break up any line of sight problems. Usually they settle down, if they dont even after a rescape, you may need to consider rehoming one before things turn ugly.
