Community Tank Question

Would my crowntail betta go well in my 37 gallon tank (see signature below)? What if I add an angelfish or two later, would they still go well?

Defiinately not.

The angels would rip him apart, and i wouldn't put him in your stocking bettas are better off alone or in a tank of 5 galls or more with a few choice tanks mates.

You also need a larger shoal of neons

Thanks. I planned on adding a couple/few more neons and black skirts before getting the angel but am waiting out a mini cycle before adding anything.

The angels will eat the neons, neons are their natural diet in the wild.

How tall is your tank? Angels need a tank at least 18 inches tall

22.75 inches tall.

So just up the black skirt shoal, get a SMALL angelfish and hope for the best?

Oh, and I missed your other question up top. I believe it is a common pleco. She's about 8 inches long, very wide in the front and probably 5 - 7 years old.

She will need rehoming they easily grow to 18inches.

Deffinately don't just hope for the best, are you dead set on angels? There are plenty of other lovely fish that could go in your tank, getting a small angel fish is all very well but fish grow and angels can get to be the size of dinner plates if cared for properly.
