are there any SA's that will inhabit the mid level, be 4-6 inches, and be peaceful enough to not chow down on cardinal and rathburn tetra's, corys and plecos? Basicly, I am looking for alternatives to the standard angel as a centerpiece fish in a planted 55g SA community tank. I have a feeling anything in the 6 inch range though will have a risk of seeing a tetra as a meal but thought I'd see what alternatives there might be besides the usual angels, rams, apistos etc.

I was about to suggest firemouths but then you brought up the tetras and those could be an issue.

Keyholes @ 10cm. A peaceful and showy species that make good center pieces. There arent many cichlids over 10cm that are safe with tetras although there are reports of festivums and chocolate cichlids living happily with tetras for many years.
