Combined Heater & Filter

Hi All

Does anyone know if there's such a thing as a Combined Heater & Filter?

If so are they any good and which ones are recommended?

Hi

Eheim do a thermo range which is an external filter with built in heater but have never used one.

I dont think I ever would either, if either the filter or heater part of it broke then you'd effectively have to buy another filter and heater.

You'd be much better with an external filter with an external heater such as a hydor eth attached

another option for you which im using is rena smart heater on an external filter,basicaly the heater doubles up as the water pick up pipe for the filter.

I asked a similar question a few days ago but was advised against a combined filter and heater due to limescale build up clogging it up unless you live it a soft water area.

OK, thanks guys. I just bought a standard heater. Interpet Delta Therm to replace my Fluval one. Fluval went faulty after 1 year 2 months, do anyone know if they have a 1 or 2 year warranty?

Turns out it's 2 year. Unfortunately the shop I bought it from, Britain's Aquatic Superstore, (aka Dave's) went into administration.

There are still operating from the same place and it looks all the same but it's a different owner. So they won't honour any warrantry claims.

Can you pursue the warranty with Fluval? It's theirs not the shops I think.
