Coconut Caves?

Hi there,
I'm looking to add another hiding place in my tank so that my cories and other fish can hide if they want to without just nestling in amongst my plants.
I've seen these coconut caves about and was wondering if they would be any good. Has anyone got these in their tank and if so could they show me a photo? Ive never seen one actually in the tank, and if people have had success with cories hiding in them let me know!
I did used to have a tunnel that was resin that my betta kinda owned, but I hates how fake it looked so when I upgraded my tank I got 2 nice pieces of bogwood and made a little quarry between them for the cories to hide in, however they don't seem interested and I cannot for the life of me find a piece of bogwood that has a tunnel in it!!! I want a very natural look and don't like fake looking ornaments so I have also bought pebbles and flat pieces of stone to create a little cave that my panda's love, although my betta does push them out if he fancies a rest in there!

Hi Amy, coconut caves are a fantastic addition to any tank imo. They're really simple to make and cheap too! Can't say i have ever had my cories using them though...

Both of your tanks look goregous! I'll have to upload a pic of mine when I can and see where you guys suggest putting it. I have a 70 litre so not masses of space, but it is heavily planted so may be able to make room by donating some plants to my friend!

You could add two and disguise one of them with the plants a bit.

Yeah even if I just got the one I don't think I'd want to just plonk it in. I'd want it to be surrounded by the plants so that it's a little hidden space for whoever feels like relaxing in there!!
I'd probably get the smaller half coconut where the hole is actually on the ground rather than the more rounded fuller one.

My cories don't use the coconut cave either, unless a pellet goes in! But, I do see my Betta and strangely my male Pearl Gourmai in there on occasion, lol.
