hi guys..im thinking of running co2 into the tank help with the plants..i know that plants releace co2 of there own at night,which i plan to have my airpump on timer to kick in so for more oxygen..my light timer on the tank is set from 2pm til 12am threw out the day..question is,do i run the co2 on the light timer hours?

i think alot of people run it an hour before lights on to an hour before lights out.. could be wrong though
 
The "ideal" arrangement is to start introducing some CO2 before the lights come on so that levels are fairly close to your maintenance levels by the time the lights are on. You also turn off the CO2 ahead of the lights going off so that you can use up the CO2 in the water before the lights go out. There is no need to run the air stone overnight, normal filter circulation is enough to keep the water oxygenated.

Now that we have talked about ideals, my CO2 is plugged into my light timer.
