hi, im after a cheap co2 system something for preferably under £30 inc tubes and everything i need. i have seen someHERE what are good and what are rubbish. i want to get one that will actually work because i think it will be like the fertilisers some work and some dont. thanks.

anyone? or does anyone know of a good way to make your own co2 system? someone must be able to recommend a good co2 system and where to get it? say for under £40

looks good. thanks for the reply? anyone tries the dennerle bio line exclusive or the bio line pro?

what size tank is it? you can have a nice pressurized kit for around £80 although that may be out of your budget?

yeah, i dont want to pay £80! i just want one for around £30 that has everything i need to get started. then in future all i have to do is get the gas bottles. what do you think of THIS do you know what the c02 schlaugh is? or the starter capsules? i was thinking i bet i will have to keep getting more capsules. i rekon they are things you have to use when you replace a gas bottle, but i probably wrong. the only thing i want to have to buy in the future is new bottles.

If you don't need a lot of CO2, you can make your own using yeast and some sugar in a softdrink bottle. Around here people will use a 2 litre bottle with a couple of cups of sugar and a packet of yeast. It will produce CO2 bubbles for about 2 weeks and then you relpace the yeast and sugar and it gets going again. To move the CO2 to the water, drill a hole in the bottle cap a little smaller than your air tubing and stuff the air tube through the hole which will give a nice tight fit. Hook the other end of the tube to a porous air stone for a diffuser and you have maybe a dollar invested in a 2 week CO2 supply. Next time it only costs the price of the yeast and the sugar.
