Can anyone recommend a make of CO2 diffuser which works well with the old bottle of yeast method.
I see there are some cheap prices on eBay on ones from the far east,
although a lot of the sellers in China \ India don't have particullarly good feedback, and they are mostly "nano" diffusers,
which I presume means very small.

If you have a large tank with room to hide it then the hagen ladder is awesome for yeast CO2.

Cigarette filter ,
Can you elaborate? :)

I think there's too many sub forums...

Cigarette filter pushed in the end of the CO2 line in the tank will work and make tiny bubbles but it will need good flow to get round the tank.

Nutrafin Natural Plant Co2 System.

The bubble counter works great. It really keeps the bubbles in contact with the water for a long time.

Another thing to consider: With this system, the bubbles will eventually reach the curved top of the bubble ladder, and then they pop off and rise to the surface. In order to encourage even better absorption / diffusion, I've mounted a small (80gph flow rate) sump above the bubble ladder, with the intake facing directly down. What this does, is when the bubbles come off of the ladder, instead of just going to the surface and popping, the pump sucks them in along with water, smashes them into even tinier bubbles, and then shoots it across the tank. It adds about ten seconds to the amount of time the gas is in contact with the water, and it shoots the tiny bubbles all the way across the tank.

My plants thrive.

Whether it has to do with that directly or not, I don't know.
