Two of my clown loaches have been beating the hell out of each other for the day. Got a little video uploaded.
These two are the biggest of the five and they were all the same size when I bought them so I am guessing they are the possible alpha ones.
The funny thing is that they are sorting out their domestic problems out of sight inside a cave  They don't even sleep in this cave, all 5 cuddle at the other side in a bigger one but maybe these two want to move houses or something. :fun:

if it dint look bad lol it would be awesome !

There was no damage done that I could see and they are friends again. But it did look at times like they were taking chunks out of each other. I had seen these two fighting before but not for so long. Probably one needs to get bigger to establish the dominance over the other as now it looks like a fair fight:lol: I was trying to see if one will completely grey out the colours as it says online the dominant one does during a fight, but none of them did, strange ;) Also, they don't school too much together so wondering if this has anything to do with it. Normally the smaller loaches go out of the cave first, scattered around the tank and then these two come out a few minutes after. You would think a dominat loach in the group would lead the bunch, but maybe they send out the spies first to check if it's clear

Wow, yours have grown up  Do you still have them? They are quite aggressive eaters. I love the way they steal the wafers from each other and run away hiding them. I have a lot of corys with them and to stop the food aggression I started feeding them the small type pellets that are a bite size and it's really peaceful now at feeding time and everyone gets a share. I won't even ask why the plastic plants in your tank  Mine are making a mesh out of everything. Just wondering, did yours eat smaller fish in the tank when they grew up? It kind of seems that one of them was trying to eat the small loach at 3:10 about? :fun:

I do still have the Clowns but not any of the other loachs, they are in a bigger tank now as they have grown. They have never eaten any other loach, I did try to add some neons once, they were all gone the next morning.

 Saves you the trouble of neons bringing in white spot or neon tetra disease or TB  Clown loaches know what's best for the tank. :fun:

I just watched my two bigger clowns duking it out. Very interesting. They are neat little critters. Think they have settled down now. If i get a chance i will try and upload a video. Its kinda funny because i was just reading about the coloring while doing the dance last night then they started today. Made it much more interesting watching them knowing what was going on and how to tell who was winning. Thanks for sharing!
