Meds can sometimes irratate the fish skin.
Keep a close eye on the fish.

Just put dose 3 in,gonna be tense few days will watch clowns close.i want to do another course to ensure the velvet 90% gone,how long after final dose 4 can i start a redose,is there any thing i could get to prevent or just good old wc and maintanance.

What does it say in the med instructions.
If it tells you to do a water change and run some black carbon do so.

Do the water change and run the black carbon for 24 hours.
Remove the black carbon and start the treatment again.

The carbon i got was brand new a week or so ago,i used it to rid the sterazin,will it be ago to use still,its in a sealed bag!,the med bottle said wait 4 days when changing treatment,nothing about a redose!

The carbon no good it only works for 2 to 9 days. Once it drys out it's useless.

Add some fresh black carbon and run it for 24 hours.
Then preform another water change and gravel vac. Start the med course again.

Should u use carbon and nitrate remover media all the time,i just run biomax and 8 big sponge.

Waste of time and money running black carbon all the time. It's only good for removing meds from the tank. It's only affective for 2 to 9 days.
The green nitrate sponges are not proven they work either. I wouldn't waste your money on them.

Would my clowns prefer it if i got rid of all other tankmates,which would leave 9 or 10 clowns!,and how long after dose 4 can i do wc and carbon.

The next day after the last treatment, do a water change and run some fresh black carbon.

The tanks way to small for 9 to 10 clown loaches. You need at least a 100 gallon tank.

I know its bit small but most clowns are 3 inch ish,with 2 that are like 4-5inch,got my eye on a glass tank on the net,its 600 ltr no light no hood no nothing for £180! Got to do the maths on all the other bits needed.

Ive finished the coarse of treatment,but still they are flicking i will do a re dose after a few days filterin carbon an wc,do u think it could take 3 or 4 applications of the med as this velvet seems to be quite strong!!!?,any thing else i could try

Ive just put first dose of second round in after 2 wc of 15% a time + carbon,ive not blacked the tank,would greatly inprove my chances,my lfs offered me esha exit for spot and velvet !!?
