Hello all, new to this forum although I've lurked many times before for info 
Anyway, I've recently tried to rid my tank of a snail overpopulation- initially the trap was great, had some spinach and lettuce and caught lots of snails. So I decided to be a bit greedy, and left the trap in overnight hoping to catch even more. Big mistake! Somehow all of the snails escaped after eating the lettuce, and the tank was really really cloudy. I've done a couple of water changes (nearly 40%) and cleaned the filter as well, but to no avail. I've read through the thread regarding bacteria blooms- but was hoping someone had another suggestion! The tank has been running w/out problems for months now- I've got a good aerator; decent filter; some guppies, a few dwarf frogs, some tetras, a couple of small loaches, lots of tiny shrimp and a million snails!; and a homemade co2 thingy. I've never had this, and it just appeared out of nowhere. Please help!
