i have a 10gal tetra tank with a plec in also and the plec seems happy enough to eat the bogwood all day long

i vacumed today with the battery type one but fails to pick up the heavier bits of rubbish is there another way of getting this stuff up

as i have a sand substrate and constantly looks dirty which i cant stand any ideas cheers

a manual grav vac has quite a strong pull and you could do a bit of a diy job and add a air pump, but with a compartment thingy

cheers for that might invest i a manual one also cant hurt having a spare

I have also used nets before to get big clumps, but the best way to go is manual vac

Someone is going to ask, so it may as well be me - is that a common plec you are keeping in a 10 gallon tank?
