Cleaning Filter Media During Cycle ?

Hi guys,
During my fishless cycle do I need to remove the filter media and give it a rinse in tank water occasionally? Or do I just leave it alone until fully cycled? Thanks

If its clogged I would but if its still pumping water no imo

No need to to begin with, its fishless so there shouldn't be any waste except dead plants that may get sucked up.
