i seem to be getting alot of crap up from my gravel vac even no im not over feeding would shirmp or snails cure this problem or at least eat some of the crap im picking up on a daily basis?

i would say since youre not over feeding then no most shrimp wont eat poo and other waste. they will eat left over food though.

the only shrimp that comes to mind is bambo filter shrimp. when not in front of the filter intake he goes around "raking" the ground eating everything that sticks to his fans

what about snails will they eat poo?

Nothing really eats poo, some animals will eat undigested food in it but if you really want to break it down and and utilize it you need bacteria and plants.
