I have a 55gal. tank, everyone seems to doing well. I also have 2 guppies with the others. The Jacks I just put in are about 6in, the convicts are about 3 to 4 in. Lots of rooms for everyone. I was not sure if it was a good thing to put the Jacks in. And does anyone know about Jacks

Guppies are cichlid food

The pics are of acaras, Jack Dempseys look different, either way both JD's and Acaras are cichlids so if you have any small fish in there they will soon be gone.

The bigger SA cichlids shouldnt be kept with community fish, sorry

You dont have jack dempsys and you also do not have 2 blue acaras you have 1 blue acara and 1 green terror and convicts int the same tank that spells a recipe for disaster not to mention your tank is not big enough to house all of these fish long term.

Nice Dempsey's. Look gr8.
where do you see Dempsey's?

fish on the right is a 'Aequidens' pulcher (Blue Acara)
these fish grow to 6+ inches so are a good sized fish for your tank.

fish on the left is a 'Aequidens' sp. "Goldsaum" (False Green Terror)
these fish are recomended to have a 55G as the absolute minimum when they are adults, they can grow to 12+ inches
