Cichlid Questions.

Okay, I have a 29 gallon tank that I am considering various fish for but I'd like some more info on any of these guys if ya'll have a moment. On some of these i've read the minimum tank size being 30, so i'm also wondering if those fish would do well with extra filtration in the longer tank than in regular filtration in the taller tank. But moving on:

Julidochromis transcriptus

Julidochromis regani

Julidochromis ornatus

I've never kept Lake Tanganikya cichlids, but I'll help where I can. A standard 29gal tank has the same footprint as a 20gal long, and since with african cichlids length/width is far more important than height, you should look at stocking for a 20gal tank even though your tank holds 9 more gallons, if that made any sense. Here are a few good links for stocking, profiles, etc. Hopefully someone that actually keeps tangs can post to help further.

is it the same LxW as the 20g? I knew it was CLOSE, but didn't think it was the same. well, thanks
