Cichlid Hides

how tall are cichlids, particularly, fire mouth cichlids, on average? I know they average out to 6-7 inches in length once adults but I can’t seem to find anything on height - I’m trying to come up with the best hide possible however the holes for various hides all seem to be 1.5-2.5 inches which seems rather small for an adult cichlid but I’m not sure

Adult male firemouth cichlids grow to about 5 inches long (body length not including tail) x 2-2.5 inches high. Most never reach that size and end up around 4 inches long x 2 inches high. Females are a bit smaller.
