Cichlasoma Ornatum

May sound silly but try a bit of flake food, my green acara hasnt eaten for a while I was starting to worry about her, so I put some flake food in she ate that, now after 2 days she is back on prima & pellet. Probablly still stressed thats all :good:

ill try it if the brine shrimp doesnt work :good:

they did have quite a long journey in the car so i hope its just stress :unsure:

all they might have been fed on
in the past try some live food
like daph or blood worm
might help

They are renowned for being shy fish so give em plenty of cover and time to adjust to the new surroundings :good:

have you kept them in the past?

if so what can you tell me about them? there is very limited info on the net :sad:
 
just tried them with brineshrimp and i think they ate some but not 100% as the lights are off :unsure: i certainly looked like they took something!

maybe im just trying to convince myself :lol:
 
I hav'nt kept them but a friend has about six,from what he said they were extremely shy for the first month or so,he left them alone and unfed for the first week and supplied plenty of hiding places
He tried a small shoal of tetra's with them but that just made them hide even more
They are closely related to Festae but much more sensitive to water conditions and bloat
 
yeah i hope they get a good appetite now...

just got to get them use to lights now as oddball express doesnt have individual tank lights they just used the unit lights :crazy:
