L273 would be another option for you, absolutely stunning, not sure how far you are from Essex but there is a bloke selling.. 273's, 25's and a few species of panaque.

600's are like gold dust, unless one comes up and your extreamly quick you dont stand much of a chance but ill keep my eyes open.

Doesn't post this time a year i don't think unless he does by courier but he is well respected and has some absolutely stunning plecs in stock usually :)

his collection is absolutely stunning, the 25's are a good price, i live in lancashire, he said he will currier but i wouldn't trust it this time of year with £100 worth of fish!
there is a guy selling his blue eyed panaque for £550 about a foot long, they're rarely seen and i'd love it but i never have much luck with panaques!

how does the chubby get on with the rays T1?

You could arrange your own courier, JM Live Couriers specialise in fish transport, if you really wanted one they would be the perfect option.

That's an excellent price for a blue eyed, by far one of the most stunningly gorgeous plecs around. Is it Chris from Harlow by any chance?, he has had it a few months now and wanted £1000 for it originally.

Nice bloke and he does have some nice fish from time to time.

yeah its chris, i know he started it at £1100, its a shame as it is a gorgeous panaque about 13" would be absolutely stunning to have that fish, its gotta be worth more than £550! no one has ash to spare right now though! its a lot for a fish that you have no hope of breeding, its like T1 with the rays, incredibly expensive but when he breeds them he sells them and gets a bit of cash back and you get such a good feeling out of knowing your time and hard work actually paid off! still, i'd give him the money for that panaque if i had it, i would need to do a lot of research though, couldn't even keep my L190 alive! don't know why, had soft acidic water, wood, lots of space, pleco food and all sorts, and it just perished, wouldn't like to be responsible for the death of a big, rare and beautiful fish! id never forgive myself!

Unusual, i found panaques to be one of the hardiest, easiest plecs to keep but i guess my experiences only count for my experiences. There is another option in the L350, no where near as expensive as the blue eyed but IMO just as stunning and im sure Chris can also get them aswell, not a panaque either lol but not to sure on the max temp, there a deepish water fish so i would imagine temp would be a little lower than you would be wanting but worth a little research i guess.

i paid 150 for the chubby from wildwoods they have one left and they post give them a call

as for the blue eye in not sure as they are a bit Territorial and need some bogwood which i don't have and as i only paid £25 each for them when i kept one about 10 years ago i just don't wont to pay the high price they fetch now

had him for a bit now

he has turned fully yellow as he has got more stable and happy in the tank
