Hi all,
I'm keeping a 75l heavily planted medium light setup. It currently homes 12 ember tetras, 4 ammano shrimp and 4 kuhli loaches. I'm interested in getting a few cichlids and I was thinking about one male and two female Apistogramma agassizi. Just wondering what people think would be appropriate?
Thanks,
Max

Maybe some rainbow cichlids ???http://www.cichlid-forum.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=219336&sid=067006ee8410b49ecd13bf34f4246f67

Rainbow cichlids are waaaaay too big for a 75 litre tank and will eat 95% of your plants. You may get away with a pair of Apisto's, but they may cause having with the Embers if they decide to spawn..

Hardly mate, just don't want the plants getting hammered... I'm speaking from experience. Lol.

Agreed with Minnt on the Rainbows tbf....

A pair of Laetacara would be nice I reckon :)

Hmm, Laetacara - not seen those about in my LFS. Any particular species?

Which ever you prefer - Laetacara Curviceps and Laetacara Dorsiger are the more common species but there are a few others - though avoid Thayeri if you see them as they get quite big.

I checked out curviceps and their mouths are too big - would eat my smaller livestock. So I got a male and two female apisto agassizi:

(it was the first famous love-triangle that came to mind... blame popular culture!)
