Any ideas how long it takes for the chlorine in a 600l tank to disappear naturally. Filed up yesterday and have half dosed with aquasafe but in a big tank a full dose makes the water really blue.

a day or so will make sure its gone, and did you only treat the amount of water changed?

no. New setup so complete 100% change with enough aquasafe for 300 litres. Left overnight.

Thanks

24 hours with aeration should remove the chlorine.
If you set up a new tank you don't need to add anything to remove the chlorine. Just let the tank run for a day or so and it will come out naturally. Then once you have fish in the tank, you can start using dechlorinator.
However, if you have chloramine in the water, then that needs to be treated with something to break the chlorine ammonia bond so the chlorine can come out.

If price is a concern, check out water conditioners/ dechlorinators for fish ponds. They are usually more economical to buy.

^ Hence simply standing the water is not good enough...
