Children Feeding Fish

Two weeks ago my 4 yr. old daughter decided to feed our 1 male betta and dumped tons of flake food in the water, luckily I got home in time to change out the tank before it got to late. I think kids should be alot older to feed fish, I am very careful with my 7 yr. old daughter feeding him, I help her out when I let her.

I find it easier to let kids feed fish with a 1/4 teaspoon measuring spoon for larger tank or say "feed 3 pellets" if it is a single species tank (bettas). Worked so far for me.
