I have a major problem in my tank, I started off with x5 cherry shrimps and they have bred to about x150 of them with more of them carrying eggs, I went down my local LFS with half of them but they were already fully stocked so refused them, I only have a 10 gallon, with x3 platys and x1 betta, neither of the fish seem intrested in eating them not even the babies, is there a fish I could add that would cut down the population, maybe just eat the babies as I don't know what to do.

I wish mine would breed!!!

Stick them up for sale/free on the classified section maybe?

hi, you could try selling them. or if that fails you could give them away. although i'd be surprised if no one bought them if you sold them at a decent price.

cheers :good:

Thanks for the quick replys, does anyone have a web link which shows how I can post them? I will give them away for free to any takers, I would just ask for the postage to be covered.

add them in the classified section on the forum. You'll be able to get a bit of money for them though.

Are they good and red, or quite pale? The more full red they are generally gets in more £££. All my local LFS only stock bright red ones which means they cost a bomb :(

This is a picture I just took, how much do you think I could charge, I would probably sell x100 of them, all are red.

as Flix cw says, in my lfs in they are decent specimens they can go for £3 each. Theres a thread in the shrimp/invets section on the forum regarding current prices of shrimp.

obviously if you want rid quick, then don't charge £3 each. Maybe 20 for a tenner?

edit they look good enough to me, maybe 15 for a tenner?

Sounds a plan, thanks for the info, will post on the classified once I work out how to post them. Cheers
