At the moment I have a 65 litre tank with 2 x bumblebee cats, 1 x blue phantom plec, 1 x yellow panchax and 1 x male kribensis.

In the summer these guys are getting moved to a 90-100 litre tank.

Would a small channa species, such as the orientalis, be OK with this lot?

Totally in love with snakeheads but I understand they tend to be species only compatible?

Hi mate
I;ve kept three for 2 years in a 24x12x12. Not ideal I know but at present they are in with 12 6 week old babies so i must be doing something right with them

I have kept mine with plecs corys and tetras before, they have picked small tetras off and when breeding terrorised other fish, the tank the yare in has in the past bee na dumping groundyou see

now have them on there own andthey have blossomed since hence the breeding so I would advise on their own. The ymake very interesting fish to keep anyway and the experience of spawning them has been one of my best in 18 yrs of fishkeeping!!

ps I have some babies for sale at the moment lol

yes its amazing eh, did you see the post just below,if not read, dudes only gone and managed to breed my offspring, way to go eh :hyper:

did you retain some form of sell on cut as part of the deal like a franchise? lol

That's great, thanks guys!

Are there any other small channas I could keep with my team in a 3 foot tank?
