try to ignore all of the bubbles and the fact that a few of the plants have decided to float away just before I took the picture!!

one of my rams just getting his colours back after his stressful day!

Really pleased with the change although I think I will need to add a little more sant to hold the plants down!

oh dear don't know what happened then...I can! :(

Try uploading them to an image site such as photobucket.com, then pasting a link (forum link) to them in your post

Another try...

Has it worked???

Thanks everyone, really pleased with it well worth all the effort it took yesterday!

another unexpected bonus..when I tested my water today my pH has dropped too...was always 7.4 - 7.6 which I found was really limiting the types of fish I could get as I really love the rams etc but when i've checked it today it's down to 6.8 :)

I'll keep a check on it over the next few days and if it does stay down great bonus! :) (just have to keep an eye on my snails!)

Missed your post yesterday, congrats on the end result!

pH dropping with sand sods odd...I can see anything else in the tank that would gradually increase pH though so fingers crossed!

Hi zoepop,

Tank is looking good, much brighter.

I'm actually looking to change from sand back to gravel because my eheim external filter is blowing the sand all over the place lol.

Just wanted to know what brand or type of gravel that is in your first pic? Is it just dorset pea gravel?

Cheers

Andy

Have you tried raising the inlet pipes higher up the tank and pointing the spraybars across the surface and not down at all? I am running 2 x ex1200's in my tank, quite a lot of flow, and have no issues??
