Changing My Water Changes!

Hi there,
Since first keeping tropical fish in my first tank, which was a Fluval Edge, Ive done weekly water changes. This was needed when I had the smaller tanks a they were always slightly overstocked.
However, now that I have a Fluval Roma 125 and I am understocked, I am thinking of doing water changes every 2 weeks. Is this wise? I was meant to do a change on Wednesday according to my one a week rule but have been so busy due to Christmas I have completely forgotten about it until today. I have done a water test to see how out of control things got with my change being late, yet to my surprise the levels are fine! No ammonia either which I thought there would at least be a trace of!
So am I ok to change it to every 2 weeks even though my fish have been used to weekly?

I do all my tanks weekly regardless, my other half does his tank fortnightly (215Litres)..

Im unsure of the 'water change rule'

I've discovered the larger my tank, the longer I can go between water changes. It also depends on your filter system and if it's top notch, then you can afford to go a little longer. But even with my 55g I don't usually go longer than about a week and a half between changes. But I'm a bit obsessed with keeping my tanks extremely clean.

If your tank is fully cycled then yer, every 2 weeks is fine, If all is good i do 25% to 33% every 2 weeks.

Yeah tank is completely cycled, and is filtered using a Fluval Plus 3.
Im usually the same and quite vigorous with my cleaning, but the tank doesn't even look dirty and the fish are fine. If I leave it until Wednesday that will be 2 weeks so I'll do a slightly bigger change than normal, probably 35-40% and then go for every 2 weeks until I stock back up after Christmas.
Gotta re-think what I want to stock back up with as I'm kinda bored of the same typical fish =\
