Centerpeice Fish For 240L

i am thinking of getting a 240l which is quite a step from my 125l anyway the plan is to have both running and move some stock from the 125 into the 240 leave the Bettas, Cories and L052 in the 125.

the fish i will be moving over are:
8 Swordtails (hoping to add another 2 females making it 10)
11 Copeland Tetra
Male GBR


I am hoping to add 4 Super Red BNs plus a Centerpeice fish which is what i need suggestions on

The tank will be planted have plenty of wood/caves.

How does that stocking sound? also need suggestions on a filter as it comes without 1

How about a nice big angel as your centrepiece?

For your filter you could look at the Allpondsolutions externals, cheap and reliable. The 2000EF would give you good turnover.

I have a APS2000 on my 240L and it's pretty much perfect no ideas about stocking though - I'm crap at stocking threads lol

I'm not overly keen on Angels had a lovely big group when i started out very peaceful then i got given a huge 1 which was aggressive and tried/did eat most its tank mates

Also i wouldn't want it eating the BN fry if/when the bred

Fair enough. Are you thinking of a single fish as the centrepiece or a trio/group of something?

A pair of keyholes or a pair of Bolivian rams (or both if the tank is 4ft!). I would probably also get another 2 female and 1 male blue rams and get that tetra school up to 15-25ish sort of numbers.

I would love more Rams but i can't find them locally, i got my current Male from a member on here

Definately up the tetra trouble is i brought the Copelands online and they don't have the anymore.

would 12 glolights be ok? giving me 23 Tetra

12 glowlights would be ok, but not as good as the same species.. I am quite surprised that you haven't seen any more around because they are not generally an uncommon species..

You should also try posting a wanted add, if you haven't done so yet

never seen them in the flesh until they arrived i got the group off ebay for £6 if i remember rightly, wish i got another group when they had them there lovely fish
