Catching A Fish...

i'm returning a few fish to the fish store on sunday and one fish i know will be a problem its my yo yo loach, i got this guy when i didn't know much about fish and i know they need to be in groups but i have no room for more... anyway.

he is a nightmare as soon as i put the nets in the tank he goes into the rocks.. so i was thinking if i put the nets in the tank tonight and just leave them so the fish they are ok they might not scurry away instantly... also i was planning on draining 50% of tank. i do have some rock work that i would rather not move as, as the problem being its heavy and tough to move i'm worried about squashing fish basically. i have tried a fish trap before (well a bottle) and all i caught was silly lil clown loaches who quite liked it in there.

so basically i'm asking for any lil secrets that you guys have for catching tough fish. i will move the ornaments but i have just got the tank looking the way i like it and i would be annoyed if i had to take it all out again. look at my video link to get a idea of how it looks.

Put something in there like a big enough flowerpot, then half burry it, usually once you start chasing them he should use this for somewhere to hide, then cop the net over the flowerpot and ease it out of the gravel, works alot for me with my bottom dwelling fish,
if not remove everything sorry but sometimes we have to

i had to remove everything when i was catching my rosy barbs, it sucked

I think it comes down to practice, i caught a 2inch plec in my 5/2/2 in one hit and 4 white skirt tetra's without removing a thing, it down to lying in wait and letting them think alls good them bam

haha do you think me putting the nets in will help? or be pointless?

yes but only do this while your around, do not leave it over night, they may get stuck and die
