Carpet In Aquarium

Hi

I have seen aquariums that have a green plant carpet and was wondering what type of plant is used to create this. Thanks a lot.

I believe it is Java Moss or Riccia.

Although java moss or riccia can be used I wouldn't say they're the most common.

Here is a list of the ones that are actually technically carpet plants, Pygmy Chain Sword (Echinodorus tenellus), Dwarf Hairgrass (Eleocharis parvula), Glossostigma (Glossostigma elatinoides), Hemianthus 'Cuba' (Hemianthus callitrichoides), Brazilian Micro Sword (Lilaeopsis brasiliensis)
