My male and female are doing well! female is still the friendly and braver of the two, she also is the bigger eater of the two also... she knows what the plastic bag is that i defrost the frozen food is and will wait while the male is more skiddish and prefers live food! Hes definatley more dominate but is also the bigger wimp with me and will still hang back but watch at the same time...

the tank is next to my bed in the far corner of the room so they dont get as much traffic and this may be why the male continues to be more skiddish around me...

I have offically started not one but 2 snail colonies! not intentionally! one i have going in a 1 gallon unfiltered critter carrier and the other is my filter!! so the puffers really do have an enless supply of snails... didnt realize they snails were breeding in my filter until today!!! last week and tore the front of the tank apart and did a good cleaning cuz i coundnt seem to get rid of some debree (saw a couple snails right after this cleaning) and then today i did the filter and a water change... well while tearing my 3 stage filter apart i found the 2nd colony! there was many clusters of eggs and at least 10 snails that i could count of all stages of growth... so as they travel to the the main part of the tank the become my "automatic snail feeder"

ok picture time!

Heres my female!!! she is actualy pretty easy to take pictures of!!!

very nice!

are these breedable in home aquariums? Is that what you are attempting?

Even of they did breed I do not have the room nor the time to do that and I have read the male gets very protective of the eggs and that's bad news for the female! I have also read that the baby's are so small I don't think I would even have a chance with them! And right now they are still very young and I'm still weighing my options! I may rehome the male and get another female eventually
