Caring for danios: Filter needed?

First post here.

I am wanting to know if zebra danios needed a filtered aquarium or not. I three small male zebra danios "Hughie, Loui, and Dooey" in a Mainland Explorer 2 gal 3 stage filtered (bio-wheel 7) aquarium. The aquarium is also home to a red betta "Bob" and this question was asked on another board. (dedicated to betta care)


So, do danios require a filtered tank?

to the forum.

IMO all fish need a filter, to remove there waste products, which if not removed will kill them very quickly.

You will also need to do water changes to remove the final products of the filteration process.
