Cardinals In A 35L Tank?

Right, i've got a bit of a dilemma... I recently added to the numbers of my Cardinals in one of my tanks, but slowly they have been being picked off by some of the other tank mates. (whether they died and was eaten or just eaten alive is unknown)

So my solution was to move them to my spare 35 litre tank. It's lightly planted with rocks and bogwood. It's a 16" long Arcadia jobby whatsit. They seem fine, but i'm unsure really. But this is where the problem lies, i haven't got a 'safe' bigger tank to move them to so i'm kind of stuck with them in there.

What should i do?

Will they be ok?

I dont find cardinals to be that active really, I would put them in there if I was you... Mine just hang about lol

They are in there already, lol. Just thought i would make sure. I have read up on them abit and have read that a 20 litre tank would be ok...

They seem ok in there, just feel a bit mean as they did explore my 125 litre quite a bit, but at least it's safer than being in the 125!

Just the 5 yes. Tank dimensions are 15.5" long x 11" wide x 12" tall roughly.
