Does the carbon absorb fertisliser ?

Im dosing liquid fert everyday now as Ive added some new plants and wondered if I should take it out.
Does it have any affect on dechlorinators when I do water changes too ?

Ta.

Yes, it will absorb the fertilizers. If you plan to dose fertilizers, I would remove the active carbon.

Actually the term is aDsorb rather than aBsorb, but it's true that activated carbon adsorbs all sorts of 'impurities' which is why it has been used in filtration systems forever and a day - well ever since I can remember and I'm an old far...er fella).
However, carbon's "use life" in the aquarium is very limited and it's generally considered to be counter productive, especially in a planted tank as it would adsorb nutrients that the plants would otherwise need/use (regardless of added ferts).
