The 30 long is filled and starting a slow cycle, as Im looking at it Im just wondering if I would be able to house anything with him, or will he be the solitary fish in the set up? Ben said that his smaller tobi puffer hadnt nipped at corals, so might I be able to throw some soft corals in? The fixture I ordered (decided 4x96watt bulbs was too many on this small a tank) is a 192 watt pc fixture, so should be able to do most softies.

As far as tankmates, what might options be? other slow moving fish that would leave him alone? perhaps a dwarf lion? thoughts would be appreciated.

Anything you want, my friend. :hey: Canthigaster jactator is highly compatable with almost anything we put in our tanks. Just make sure to feed him well.

well next question would be what types of coral will they generally leave alone? (think i settled on a dwarf lion as a buddy)

Well, I have read of many instances that they have not harmed anything, not even Clams. But as a guess to which would be the most vulnerable coral, I'd say Actinodiscus or similiar mushroom coral. If he's well fed he should ignore everything, assuming he is purchased at a young age.
